The Foundation Series utilizes a single common base module, "the Foundation", which mounts inside the sample compartment. Each of the accessory Swap-TopTM modules drop into the Foundation for rapid change of analytical technique to a method which matches the precise needs of your application. CPC Diffuse™ Reflectance Accessory

The Diffuse Reflectance Accessory is designed for analysis most types of solid materials (with the exception of mirror-like substances) such as powders, tablets, minerals, even polymers without the need for pressing KBr pellets.

This accessory uses a novel optical element called a compound parabolic concentrator (CPC), which directs energy to the sample and collects the reflected energy. This design also minimizes unwanted specular bands from the final sample spectra.

Multi-Reflection HATR Accessory

The Multi-Reflection HATR Accessory is ideal for liquids, gels, films, and powders and requires little or no sample preparation. The pressure grip allows for even, reproducible pressure, which in turn provides intimate contact between the sample and crystal.
The accessory comes with a ZnSe crystal. Other available crystals include Ge and Si.
